How do I know I have a valid booking that was confirmed by the hotel?
Once you have successfully placed a booking on the marketplace, you will receive a booking confirmation email from LockTrip. This means that your reservation is confirmed along the distribution channel. You can always contact the property and provide the reception staff with your name. However, please allow at least 24 hours before contacting them as the booking needs to be synchronized with the property's internal reservation system.
Note: If you place a same day booking, the synchronization will be faster and usually the reception staff will be able to pull up your booking within an hour after it was made.
Can I still place my booking if I do not know the name of the second guest?
The name fields are required, however, if you do not know the name of the second guest either enter the name of the first guest again as a placeholder. Once placed, the booking is not amendable so please double-check there are no typos in the booking ...
Do I need to show my booking confirmation e-mail at the hotel reception desk?
No, all you need is a а government-issued photo ID and the reception staff will pull up your booking from the reservation system.
Where can I find the booking details and hotel and room policies?
We’ll send you the booking details in a confirmation mail to the email address you used to make your reservation. Alternatively, you can visit your personal LockTrip Dashboard, go to My Trips and find your booking under the Upcoming tab.
How long in advance can I book my hotel?
In most cases, you can book your hotel room 12 or even 18 months in advance, however, this varies strictly by hotel, destination and time of year.
I want to cancel my booking.
You can cancel your booking at any time through your Dashboard. Depending on the cancellation policy of the offer you've booked, you will be eligible for a full, partial or no refund.
